Lead Pastor
Pastor Pete Serves as the lead Pastor at Florida’s First Assembly Of God. He and His wife Deb are the proud parents of two beautiful kids. The Bensons have been serving in ministry since 2010. One of Pastor Pete’s greatest joys is helping others experience the same life transforming power of Jesus that he experienced as a young man. As a family they strive to reach the lost, make disciples, and further the Gospel through Missions.
Pastor Pete’s favorite pastimes are spending time with family, playing games with friends, and he absolutely loves to hunt and fish.
Associate Pastor / Kid's Pastor
Pastor John has been involved in Kids Ministry for over a decade. He believes in working in tandem with parents to help kids connect with God, their families and their world. Pastor John believes Kids Church needs to be a place where kids fall in love with God and church and want to be have both as part of their lives. He oversees the KidVenture, Community Groups and Assimilation Teams here at Florida’s First Assembly.
He is married to his amazing wife Rachel and has four awesome boys.
Worship Leader
Dylan has been involved in worship from a very young age. He has traveled around Polk, Highlands, and Hardee County participating in worship teams and leading worship for youth and adult services throughout the years.
His number one passion is music and using his musical talents to glorify God. Dylan believes in the intimacy of worship and that it is vital to spend time with the Lord in consistent worship and praise. He believes that corporate worship is the most important kind of worship because God honors when two or three are gathered in His name. Matthew 18:20, “For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.”
He oversees the Worship and Production teams here at Florida’s First Assembly of God.
